Western New York Chorale
_______________________________________________________________________

The Western New York Chorale is the area's oldest vocal chamber ensemble specializing in Early Music (15th and 16th centuries). The Western New York Chorale, Herbert Tinney, Music Director, strives for excellence in historically-informed performance of a varied repertoire of "holie and worldlie" choral music.

The Chorale also distinguishes itself by searching out "hidden treasures", most recently Renaissance and Baroque music from the New World, and little known music from Western New York's rich and colorful history. Inquiries are invited, from singers and others.

Sopranos: Mary Bisson, Maura Sullivan, Ellen Evers, Mary Harty, Sandra Maiwald, Margaret Maloy.

Altos: MaryJean Conibear, Ruth Johnson, Lynn Merkel, Lynn Wright, Sarah Zebehazy

Tenors: Terrence Bisson, Joseph Maiwald

Basses: Lawrence Gottesman, Robert Grimm, Roland Hayes

How to join us:
The Chorale is open to the entire Western New York community. A voice tryout - a voice test, and ear test (pitch matching), and a simple music reading test - is required.
