This 1835 brick building, used to house the Albany Land Company, also served as
the office of Washington Hunt, Governor of New York State from 1851-1852. On
display are surveying instruments used by Jesse Haines to lay out the villages
of Lockport and Niagara Falls, and personal articles and law books of Governor
Hunt. The building was moved to this site in 1955 from Market St. in Lockport.
