You will now need a passport or birth certificate to enter the United States.

Starting January 31, 2008, you will need to show a passport or a birth certificate and government issued identification, such as a driver's license. US and Canadian citizens ages 19 and older will need the above. Children ages 18 and under only need to present proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. Passports and NEXUS cards will also be accepted.
