cornerstone was laid in 1853 and the Bishop of Toronto assisted by a number of
his clergy and the Bishops of Michigan and New York consecration the church September
14, 1856. The architect for the church was Kivas Tully. The
church was built primarily through the exertions and financial support of Rev.
Thomas Brock Fuller, who later became the first Bishop of Niagara. |
