This English Tudor Revival manor house built from clapboard, brick, stucco was
originally constructed for Jewett M. Richmond. In
1873, he bought the property which extended back to Richmond Ave., which was given
its present name in 1879 in honor of him. In 1887 the original Richmond house
was burned to the ground. In 1888, this house was built
Thomas B. Lockwood bought and remodeled the mansion in 1918.
