Frederick Law Olmsted is widely recognized as the nation's foremost parkmaker and the founder of American landscape architecture. Together with his partner Calvert Vaux, they designed a highly integrated system of parks and connecting parkways, which to this day, have a profound influence on the fabric of Buffalo.
