MacKay Heating Plant

MacKay is the South Campus heating facility. Its tower is a campus landmark. The plant was renovated in 1973. It was named after a longtime industrial plant manager, Gerald F. MacKay (1906-1965) later joined the university staff. He was known as a man motivated to render service to the university's academic mission with great economic efficiency.
