Liberty Building
_______________________________________________________________________

424 Main Street, Buffalo, NY

Architect: Alfred Bossom  Built: 1925  Addition: 1961

Crowned with two reduced in-scale replicas of Bartholdi's Statue of Liberty by sculptor Leo Lentelli., this 23 story Colonial Revival Liberty Building is an imposing feature of the Buffalo skyline.

Originally built as the German-American bank, the impact of World War I created a sharp reaction to anything German. The bank changed their name to Liberty Bank.
