Edward Anassah, a proud Canadian with Ghanaian roots, is an inspiring leader and advocate for volunteerism and innovation. A recipient of the 2023 Canadian Volunteer Award (Business Leader category), Edward’s dedication extends to roles as a regional reviewer for Canada’s Volunteer Awards and judge for prestigious programs like the Canadian Online Publishing Awards and Telly Awards. As the founder of Humble Beginning Stories, Edward shares compelling narratives of leaders and entrepreneurs, mentoring young innovators on project development and business strategies. With a Master’s in Digital Experience Innovation from the University of Waterloo, he has excelled in roles at CRA, ISED, and CBSA, contributing to groundbreaking projects like the Digital Debt Advisor tool and user experience research for national initiatives. Edward’s global perspective, shaped by living across multiple continents, and his passion for storytelling, community engagement, and mentorship define his impactful journey. His story is one of resilience, having risen from humble beginnings to become a voice for change and inspiration for many.
