Nestled
at the mouth of the Niagara River and the northeast corner of Lake Erie, Fort
Erie is both a small town and a major international gateway. Approximately 20
per cent of all the commodities traded between Canada and the U.S. pass through
Fort Erie. In addition to being a transportation link, the Peace Bridge is also
a main conduit for the fibre optic infrastructure that joins the two countries.
