Frank Lloyd Wright - William R. Heath House

This house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for William Heath, a Larkin Company Vice President. Built in 1904-1905, this commission utilized classic Prarrie House elements such as a secluded main entry, banded casement windows, low-pitched, hipped roof, wide soffit under projecting eaves, leaded glass, massive, square porch supports, and a broad, flat chimney. Wright was able to skillfully blend these generally open structure techniques into a narrow corner property, and still maintain privacy for the Heath family.
