Frank Lloyd Wright Rowing Boathouse

Originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the University of Wisconsin, the 4,800-square-foot structure is among works the architect considered his most significant. The plans that Wright developed for the construction of a rowing boathouse were never used. Buffalo has the exclusive rights in perpetuity for the construction of this facility.

Wright included this boathouse boathouse design in the Wasmuth Portfolio at an international exhibition of what he considered six of his greatest works.

Once fundraising for the project is completed, the facility will be built on the Black Rock Channel near the West Side Rowing Club, America's largest rowing club.
