Objectives

The goal of the Discover Universal Blog is to provide our guests with highly valuable, easy-to-find and entertaining-to-read/listen to/watch content that will offer tangible help as they dream up and eventually experience their vacation to Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

On the Blog, readers will find digestible planning content with an emphasis on personable and relevant guides, tips, and deep-dive features into what is available at Universal.

Our mission is to make the Discover Universal Blog the most trusted, visited, and valuable source for informative and entertaining content about Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX). 

Strategy and Execution

We know our audience has a hard decision to make when they are deciding how to spend their well-earned money and time.  We also know there is a ton of noise online to compete with, even when it comes to information regarding your brand/product. So we wanted to provide a single source of truth that our guests can rely on as factual, comprehensive, not boring, not salesy, and fun to spend time on. So we stopped thinking of ourselves as a corporate blog, and instead, started thinking of ourselves as a media company, a startup media brand tasked with conquesting organic search with so much informative and entertaining content that it would be impossible to research UDX vacations and not be engaged with our content. 

 

Results

We have seen overwhelming success since we shifted our strategy on the Discover Universal Blog with significant increases across all of our key metrics like site traffic, and average time spent on the site/page.
