Cypress Equity Group | Reimagining Southern California’s Luxury Living Experience

Objective

Cypress Equity Investments, a luxury property real estate developer, needed a cohesive brand identity that could be applied seamlessly across its 13 distinct Southern California properties. While each location had its own unique character, the goal was to create a holistic branding system that reinforced Evani as a premium, unified real estate brand—one that could scale across multiple properties while maintaining individual site identities.

The challenge was twofold:

  1. Develop a strong master brand that would represent Evani as a whole.
  2. Ensure flexibility in branding for each property while maintaining a consistent visual language.

Proverb’s task was to design a refined, elegant brand system, including a logo, website, and overarching identity, that would allow Evani to market itself both collectively and at the individual property level.

 

Strategy

The Evani brand was designed to create a master identity that balances timeless elegance with functional flexibility. Inspired by the meanings of earth and life, we named the property collection Evani to reflect luxury and longevity. The identity system was crafted to be both sophisticated and adaptable, complementing the architectural uniqueness of each property while maintaining a strong, unified presence across multiple locations.

A key component of the brand system was the two-part logo structure. The primary Evani logo served as the master brand, while property-specific logo lockups seamlessly integrated individual building names without compromising brand integrity. This approach allowed for consistency while giving each location its own distinct identity.

A refined color palette of neutral tones—Obsidian, Mist, Concrete—paired with soft, natural hues like Solar, Surf, and Sand reinforced the sophisticated nature-inspired aesthetic. The typography, Montserrat Light, was chosen for its modern elegance and clarity, ensuring readability across both digital and print applications. The logo system was designed for longevity and adaptability, featuring a custom typeface that was refined while being versatile across various brand applications. 

The biggest challenge was balancing unity with individuality, as each property had its own architectural identity and target audience. The branding system needed to be cohesive yet flexible, allowing each location to retain its unique character while reinforcing the Evani identity. 

By focusing on timeless elegance and adaptability, we developed a scalable, high-end branding system that allows Evani to market its properties cohesively while ensuring each location retains its own distinctive presence.

 

Results

This project resulted in a master brand that enabled Cypress Equity Investments to market its 13 properties as a unified portfolio while also supporting the company’s growth in the market. A seamless, beautiful, and functional website provides a refined user experience, while a flexible logo system ensures cohesion across properties without compromising individual building identities. The scalable branding approach allows additional properties to be added to the portfolio without requiring a major rebrand, ensuring the brand evolves effortlessly. The sophisticated and highly adaptable brand Proverb developed not only positioned Cypress Equity as a leader in luxury real estate but also strengthened its ability to attract new opportunities and successfully lease up each property. By balancing consistency with customization, Proverb delivered a brand system designed to grow alongside an expanding portfolio.
